Where do I find the Best Rechargeable Batteries for the Cheapest Price?
In the battle for battery supremacy, the TTV community has narrowed the best rechargeable batteries down to 2 contenders. And here they are:
#1 Sanyo Eneloop – TTV recommended Best battery
[Edit – 06/21/2011]: A TTV First! Field Report Update! Costco beats Amazon…
- Costco Selling 10 AA and 4AAA Latest Generation Eneloop 1500 Rechargeable Batteries for $24.99 [$1.79 per Battery]. If a coupon comes out in the flyer, this is a TTV no brainer.
Latest Generation Sanyo 1500 eneloop 8 Pack AA Rechargeable Batteries – Currently Selling at Amazon for $21.55 for 8 [$2.69 per battery].
- First generation Eneloop Starter set at Costco Online. Currently selling for $49.99 for 10AA and 4AAA with the charger and the C and D adapters. [$3.57 per battery with charger included]. If you need the charger, or if you can wait, they occasionally have a coupon in the monthly flier.
#2 Rayovac Platinum Rechargeable – Great Batteries but not as good as Eneloop
- Rayovac Platinum NiMH AA Size Batteries, 4 Pack – Currently selling at amazon for $9.97 for 4 AA [$2.49 per battery]
- These go on sale are various vendors from time to time. Adorama, Frys, Woot, Daily deals sites etc.
Side note: I always end up buying these LR44 button cells for kids toys. Amazon sells a 50 pack for about $5 which is what you’d pay in the store for 4 of them.
